ABOUT THE CHALLENGERS
SwimPossible
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship.
Swimming is one of the most popular sports in the world. Swimming is a life skill that is taught, first, to ensure safety and, secondly, for sports and competition purposes. Competitive swimming covers a great variety of swimming skills, from short sprints to longer events and relays.

Our Special Olympics program brings SwimPossible's cause to life by providing everyone with the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
